Rooted in cultures the world over, Walnut trees and their prized fruit have given this beautiful wood a provenance of the highest caliber. Artisan Obscura chose the select "figured" parts of the Walnut tree because of its subtle shimmer, like a little wink, when adorning your camera.
Figured Walnut is a beautiful wood that is in high demand and short supply, but it can be harvested responsibly. It is wonderfully dense and finishes well.
