The Noctilux-M 35mm f/1.2 ASPH combines extraordinary lens speed with a slightly wide angle of view, offering immersive perspective, exceptionally shallow depth of field, and a remarkably harmonious bokeh. Designed for available-light photography, it delivers a distinctive visual signature with strong subject separation and a cinematic sense of depth.

Completely designed and handcrafted in Wetzlar, this compact Noctilux has been optimized for M cameras with high-resolution sensors. Its advanced optical construction consists of ten lenses in five groups, including three aspherical elements and a floating element that ensures consistent performance from the close focus distance to infinity. With a minimum focusing distance of just 50 cm, it allows photographers to work closer than ever with a Noctilux lens, expanding creative freedom across portrait, reportage, street, and documentary photography.

A key innovation behind this lens is Leica’s latest in-house Precision Glass Molding (PGM) technology, which enables the production of highly complex aspherical elements with exceptional surface accuracy. This results in superior correction of aberrations, higher micro-contrast, and smooth, natural transitions in out-of-focus areas. An integrated lens hood further enhances contrast and color fidelity by reducing flare and reflections, even in challenging lighting conditions. Despite its extraordinary performance, the Noctilux-M 35mm f/1.2 ASPH remains impressively compact.
